Cass County youth to show progress at Cass County Fair – Pine and Lakes Echo Journal

PINE RIVER — During Minnesota, 4-H educators, youth and community supporters are performing with each other to get ready for a new year of summer time showcase occasions, which include the Cass County 4-H Showcase at the Cass County Honest in Pine River.

From Tuesday-Sunday, June 21-26, Cass County 4-H youth will share their skills and accomplishments with challenge judges and the group in showcase functions encompassing a range of undertaking locations. They incorporate Animal Sciences, Expressive Arts and Interaction, STEM (Science, Engineering, Engineering and Mathematics), Gardening and Agriculture, Loved ones and Buyer Sciences, Outdoor Adventures, Healthy Dwelling, Civic Engagement and Management, Environmental and Earth Sciences, and far more.

Jennifer A. Skuza, Extension Centre for Youth Development associate dean and state 4-H director, reported in a information launch: “4-H’s precedence is to provide mastering and leadership activities that manual youth in constructing associations, producing communication methods and strengthening organizational competencies.”

The 4-H Showcase is a way for the community to acknowledge the youth’s achievements in finding out and leading more than the previous yr.

The showcases at the fairgrounds in Pine River will include:

  • 2-3 p.m.: Manner Revue in the 4-H Developing.
  • 3-7 p.m.: Static judging and demonstrations in the 4-H Creating.
  • 7-8 p.m.: Pet present in the 4-H Developing.
  • 10 a.m.: Horse showcase at the horse arena.
  • 1 p.m.: Hybrid poultry showcase (no dwell birds) in the open up air arena.
  • 5 p.m.: Rabbit showcase in the open up air arena.
  • 9 a.m.: Basic livestock showcase in the open air arena.
  • 2 p.m.: 4-H awards ceremony at the Don Smith Arena.
