Low-rise jeans are ‘making a comeback’, claims model as she stuns in fashion piece

Denim is known to be timeless fashion piece that you can keep in your wardrobe but it will never be out of style.

However, while the concept of denim jeans never goes out of fashion, different cuts are popular at different times as people swap out skinny jeans for a 70s style flare and ditch the boyfriend jeans for mum jeans.

Alongside the cut of the jeans, the rise is also impacted by how popular it is at the time, and according to one model on Instagram, 2022 is the year of the low-rise jeans, The Mirror reports.

The jeans were the height of fashion back in the early Noughties – and before in some places – and while many of us have moved on to the more comfortable high-waisted look, US model Taya Christian has claimed that low-rise jeans are “making a comeback”.

Taya, who has more than 1.6 million followers on Instagram under the username @thedoctorbae, recently showcased her figure in a pair of white jeans after initially expressing her concerns about wearing the lower cut as a “curvy girl”.

But the US star is known for her body positive posts, and said she was amazed by how well the dazzling white jeans fitted and accentuated her figure in all the right places.

She wrote: “So, apparently low rise jeans are back in? Okay but hear me out..

“I was a bit nervous to hop on the trend as a curvy gal UNTIL I found these little gems from @torrid! They are a mid rise straight fit and girl they went on like BUTTA! [sic].”

Taya’s fans were equally as blown away by the look, as many of them told her she looked “incredible” in her outfit, which was completed by a beige crop top and matching peep-toe heels.

One person said: “Ok, these mid rise jeans I can work with, they fit you like a glove! You look incredible, babe!”

While another added: “Speechless! Not only do you look absolutely stunning but the energy in this picture is EVERYTHING.”

And a third noted: “This look is SO cute!”

Several other commenters were also inspired to try out low-rise and mid-rise jeans themselves after seeing Taya’s post, as it had encouraged them to be more daring.

Someone said: “I need to check these out! Low rise jeans are scary for me. You look good, girl!”
