Carla said creating a look that feels like you means listening to yourself. “Personal style is not fashion, and they are not interchangeable. Trends, although important and exciting, are not doctrine. If you have your style, develop it, and then put it out there for others to enjoy,” Carla said. A handful of wardrobe essentials is more important than “trendier” pieces, she advised. Plus, the right accessories will help you “change up your look without too much commitment.”
